buenos aires

i spent new years with people at my hostel in buenos aires, which was crazy because we had an argentinian barbeque (asado) on the roof top terrace, and every other drunk guy was lighting fireworks (as was everyone else in the city) and throwing it everywhere. i thought i was gonna die. haha, but it brought back nice memories of high school and monroe, i guess…anyways the night life does not start here till like 2 am, so we went out afterwards to a salsa club (azucar) and danced the night away. it was a shitty feeling to leave the club and it be daylight, but we caught the bus back with everyone else who had been partying all night, and then went to bed. when the girls in my room and i woke up, it was already 8 pm, so we got ready, ate dinner, and got ready to do it all again!

i met two cool girls form australia named jacinta and annie, and we ended up taking the coach to the iguazù falls. the bus ride was almost 20 hours long, but they have the most comfortable buses here! the seats recline all the way, and hot meals are served. the falls were amazing! i have never been to niagra, but the people i have talked to said it does not even compare to iguazù…we hiked from 9 am till like 5, and didn´t even relize it was so late because everything was so beautiful.

after the falls i came back to buenos aires to meet up with rachelle, and to spend a few days planning my next destination. we were able to go out and explore the city a bit more, and i am so impressed with the transit system here. a big part of why i felt immediately at easy here is because the metro and bus system is so convenient. i never felt stranded in one part of town as the city is easily accesible. get on it seattlel!
